Why are some treks cheaper than others?

Each Urban Trek offers something different and has a specific focus in order to show to everyone what they want to see. Some of our treks offer free gifts along the way, prizes for high scores and more interactive experiences with local people. These Treks cost a little more. We also offer lower cost Treks with less of the extra frills, but still plenty of unique locations and insights into local neighbourhoods. That way everyone can Trek with us!

Who can take part?

In a word...everyone! Easy to use technology makes this accessible to anyone who is happy to stroll around the streets of Florence. A great activity for solo tourists and equally fun for teams. We think a group of up to 5 can follow an Urban trek together comfortably. You can choose a theme when you book but all Urban Treks aim to show you the least obvious paths as we are confident that you can make your way to the Duomo and the Uffizzi without our help! 

Where and when does it take place? 

Each trek is set in a different zone in the central area of Florence. You will be told your starting point while the rest of your route is to be uncovered as you go along! Each trek has been carefully planned to take you fluidly from location to location. You can start your Urban Trek at any time you choose however we sometimes provide advice about when is the best time to begin your urban exploration.

How long is an Urban Trek?

Treks take between 2 and 5 hours but the pace and speed you take is up to you. Urban Explorers often tell us that it took them all day to finish the trek just because they really wanted to spend some more time to some of the locations which they had discovered. The beauty of Urban Treks is the freedom that comes with it. Spend as little or as long at different locations as you like without the limitations of joining a mass tour. A wonderful part of exploring Florence is that it is a totally flat city centre! We have a variety of Treks which  are anywhere between 2km and 4km along flat city streets. It is your choice to decide whether you want to have this experience at the beginning or at the end of your trip but remember that you will probably want to go back to most of the places which you will discover...
